Parque El Picacho

Cerro Juana Lainez
Considered the lung of the capital, it is located right in the center of the city, southwest of the National Stadium José de la Paz Herrera (Chelato Uclés). A place with an unparalleled panoramic view, from its peak you can see the four cardinal points of the city. It has three trails, small multipurpose squares, playgrounds for children, outdoor gyms, cafes and ranches, and is also located the Peace Monument, erected in 1996, as a call for eternal peace between the brotherly peoples of Central America.
Parque La Tigra
La Tigra National Park was the first national park in Honduras. Its main objective is “the conservation, ecological preservation and maintenance of the hydrological and territorial potential of this natural reserve”.
La Tigra National Park is located in the department of Francisco Morazán, approximately 15 kilometers northeast of Tegucigalpa. It is easily accessible because there is a dirt road that leads to the offices of the AMITIGRA Organization.
It has a total area of 243.406 km2 that includes the core zone and its buffer zone, the park has boundaries with five municipalities which are: Central District, San Juan de Flores, Santa Lucía, Valle de Ángeles and Talanga. Of these, the Central District is the one with the greatest coverage.
